Inspired by the life and writing of Keith Douglas, and adapted from Angus Reid’s stage play. Douglas fought at the battle of El Alamein where he was badly injured. He then wrote the poems and memoire on which his reputation firmly rests. He was killed, aged 24, in Normandy.
